This magnificent chess set has been created by the skilful sculptors at SAC who have faithfully reproduced the characters from New Line Cinema's motion picture trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. The first part of the trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring, has inspired this set, the pieces are based upon the principal characters who are played by a cast of internationally renowned actors.

The resulting visually stunning pieces have captured the very essence of The Fellowship of the Ring, a mythical tale of right and wrong underpinned by the belief that good will triumph over evil. Each of the major characters in the story has been assigned to the role of the chess piece which most accurately portrays their nature.

Collectability

SAC chess pieces are highly sought after in the collectable markets. The fact that these high prized pieces are completely hand made makes a volume production out of the question. Consequently many of the earlier sets are returning substantial prices when appearing at auction. The sets are avidly collected by enthusiasts all over the world.

Manufacturing

SAC employs artists and sculptors both in production and for the origination of master pieces. From the artists original sculptor the masterpiece passes through various casting processes until suitable production moulds can be made. The mouldmakers are highly skilled individuals and their task is to ensure that no detail from the original is lost. Each casting is individually examined and inspected before being sent to be hand finished or hand painted.
